EdBoost offers Homework & School Project Assistance for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.  Homework & School Project Asstance is a drop-in program -- students enroll by the day, week, or month, and can attend as much (or as little) as they need to within that period.  

Students enrolled in Homework and School Project Assistance are asked to write all of their homework assignments on our "Homework Wall" white board when they arrive at EdBoost.  Homework Assistants then help students complete the homework (re-teaching any skills that students need help with and check the homework (including proofreading written assignments, quizzing for tests, and helping students to make their work more accurate or more complete).

Once students have completed their assignments, they may do tutor-assigned practice on academic skills, read (their own book or one borrowed from our library), play educational games in our computer lab, play educational games with other students, or watch educational videos. 		 Homework Assistant Qualifications Enrollment Information
Because EdBoost is committed to providing high quality educational services, we maintain higher standards for our homework assistants than do most local for-profit homework clubs.  

All EdBoost  homework assistants must:
  • Have a B.A. or be enrolled in a 4-year college.
  • Pass a rigorous 90 minute K-8 standards exam.
  • Be smart, personable, and enthusiastic about learning.
  • Enjoy working with children and youth and sharing their love of learning.
  • Be fingerprinted and background checked.
 We are now enrolling Homework & School Project Assistance students for the 2007-2008 school year.  Sign up now to reserve a spot. We cap the program at 20 students.
